He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Rushing Merritt; his children, Coty Miller (Candice), Tyler Merritt and Mykala Merritt; his grandchildren, Kiplin, Presley and Brantley; his sister Rosemary Garner (Danny); and his friends, Alan Crenshaw, Tim Kruger, Caleb Castle and Tyler Merritt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
