She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Jefferson Simmons and Lela Mae Carnley Simmons; her son Carl Jeffery Braxton; and her siblings, Clyde Simmons, Cletus Simmons, Tommy Simmons and Lela Cassidy.
She is survived by: her husband Walter Carl Braxton Jr. of Westville, FL; her daughter Karen Dale Braxton Reynolds (John B. Reynolds) of Westville, FL; her grandson Gary Boone Reynolds (Alisha); her great grandchildren, Allison Reynolds, Grayson Reynolds and Braxton Reynolds; and her siblings, Cleathen Simmons and Clela Braxton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Old Mt. Zion Church Cemetery.
