He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawton Mathews and Bertha Adkison "Boots"; and his son Luke Adkison. He is survived by: his children, John Adkison, Brenda Haskins (Eric Haskins) and Leann Warren (Kevin Warren); his grandchildren, John L. Adkison, Justin Adkison, Jameson Adkison, Caden Bray, Gemma Haskins, Kyle Garrett, James Garrett, Damian Garrett and Chloie Warren; his great grandchild Steven Jones-Garrett; and the mother of his children Margaret Adkison.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel (230 Park Ave, Defuniak Springs, FL 32435). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Limestone Cemetery.
