She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter T. and Ida Slay Carroll; and her siblings, Leroy Carroll, Shirley Carroll, Donna Louise Carroll and Lunell Hattaway.
She is survived by: her husband Charles "Chick" Tate; her daughter Veronica Jackson (Jeff) of DeFuniak Springs; her brothers, Ronnie of Westville, Wilton of Westville, Donald Lee Carroll of Westville, Roger Carroll of DeFuniak Springs and Jimmy Ray Carroll (Linna) of Ponce; and her grandchildren, Charmayne Jackson, Cierra Jackson and Allen Jackson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and her canine companion.
