It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christine Prescott of Westville, Florida, born in Geneva, Alabama, who passed away on September 30, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Mims and Mable Ingalls Mims; her husband Jerry Prescott; and her siblings, Earl Mims, Ed Mims, Ervin Mims, Edna Mims and Florence McDuffie.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Covington (John) and Jody Prescott; her grandchildren, Justin Sloan (Cassie), Jessie Martin, Jade Covington, Kelsi Covington and John Grady Covington; and her sisters, Geraldine Gillman, Darlene Hudson and Mary Grantham. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Davis-Watkins Funeral Home Chapel (1474 FL-83, Defuniak Springs, FL 32433). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
