She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Mims and Mable Ingalls Mims; her husband Jerry Prescott; and her siblings, Earl Mims, Ed Mims, Ervin Mims, Edna Mims and Florence McDuffie.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Covington (John) and Jody Prescott; her grandchildren, Justin Sloan (Cassie), Jessie Martin, Jade Covington, Kelsi Covington and John Grady Covington; and her sisters, Geraldine Gillman, Darlene Hudson and Mary Grantham. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
