He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Shelby and Anna Shelby; and his sister Nancy Heiskell. He is survived by: his wife Suzan M. Shelby; his children, George L. Shelby and Natalie Van Wagner; his grandsons, George L. Shelby, Jr. and Christopher S. Shelby; and his great grandchildren, Madison, Cameron, Samantha and Ashlyn.
