He is survived by: his wife Lori; his children, Lauren Roarke Barnett (Chris), Alex Alvarez, Michael Alvarez and Andrew Alvarez; his mother Maria Alvarez; his sister Mercedes Alvarez Garcia; and his grandchildren, Charlie Lane and Maggie Roarke Barnett.
