He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Beatty and Barbara Beatty; his sister Pamela Beatty; and his brother-in-law Ed Granda. He is survived by: his friend Marines; his wife Michele Beatty (Granda); his children, Robert L. Beatty III (Alyson), Brianne Beatty and Lieutenant Commander; his brothers, Roger Beatty (Bev) and Tom Beatty (Marcy); and his pug Reginald "Reggie" Beatty. He is also survived by his five grandchildren.
