He was predeceased by: his parents, Humberto Diaz and Maria Diaz; his son Erving Diaz; and his siblings, Esperanza, Julio and Adan.

He is survived by: his wife Ernestina Diaz; his children, Oscar Diaz (Kerry Diaz), Yadixa Alvarez (Hugo Alvarez) and David Diaz (Natalie Diaz); his grandchildren, Isabella, Oscar, Jeremiah, Giovanni, Kaleb and Leilanni; and his siblings, Mercedes, Adela, David, Teresa, Berta, Rafael and Enrique. He is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.
