He is survived by: his parents, Michael Sr. Aufiero and Nora Cristina Ferreira Aufiero; his brothers, Nick and Will; his grandmother Nhora Ferreira; and his pet Cooper. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mike's name to Catholic Relief Services.
