He is survived by: his wife Nancy McGowan; his children, Carolyn McGowan, Joseph McGowan, Helene McGowan and Patrick McGowan (Susan); and his sisters, Nary Ellen Santacroce and Patricia Elberson. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
