It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan D. Sumner of West Palm Beach, Florida, born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, who passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Joan is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Joan's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Sumner and Sandra G. Hollis; her grandchildren, Jennifer Hamilton (Scott), Stephen Giamatt (Melissa) and Zachary Giamatt (Madison); her great grandchildren, Annabella Hamilton, Trey Hamilton and Braelyn Giamatt; her brother Oliver Brown (Lauren); and her close friends, Rachel Mincey and MaryBeth Rowles. She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Tillman Funeral Home and Crematory (2170 S Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL 33415). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory (2170 S Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL 33415).
