He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Williams and Naomi Williams; and his siblings, Grady Jefferson, Jerry Williams, Etharay Jefferson and Cassandra Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Minnie Williams; his children, LaToya Allen, Octavia Allen, Kachanda Hill, James Coy Williams IV and Belden Smith (Rasheda); and his sisters, Nellie Robinson (Vinnie), Doris Scott (David), Gloria Walker and Pauline Ferguson. He is also survived by Ten grandsons, Nine granddaughters and one great-grandson.
