She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Maxie Twiggs and Anna A. Twiggs; her sister Maxine Twiggs; her sons, Mark Edwin Johnson and Todd Ricardo Johnson (Candace); her granddaughters, Monica, Stephanie and McKenzie; her nephews, Troy Johnson (Rosalind), Robin Johnson, Greg Polite (Portia), Aaron Twiggs and Timothy Twiggs; and her goddaughter Phyllis Walker-Barnes (Alvin). She was also cherished by friends and sorority sisters.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 9th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shuler's Memorial Chapel (5301 N Australian Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33407). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (100 W 21st St, Riviera Beach, FL 33404).
Although she had retired from the School District, she continued to expand her influence by serving as a mentor to young African American women through Vision Teen Parent Foundation.
