She was predeceased by: her son Allen Mervis; her sister Shirley Arendt; and her parents, Molly Goldsmith and Abraham Goldsmith. She is survived by: her husband Morris; her daughter Jill Layton (Larry); her grandchildren, Bradley Barshop (Rebecca), Dr. Andrew Jay "AJ" Layton (Anna Lorenzen) and Ryan Layton; and her great grandchildren, Lincoln and Brooks Barshop. She is also survived by many loving cousins and friends.
A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the United Hebrew Cemetery (3901 Washington Blvd, Halethorpe, MD 21227).
