She was predeceased by: her parents, William S. Swartley and Hazel Swartley (Hildebrant); her husband Peter VanDerveer; and her brothers, William and Ronald Swartley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kim VanDerveer (Steve), Kelly VanDerveer and Lori VanDerveer-Hand (Patrick); her grandchildren, Zoe and Noah; and her sisters, Beverly Groves-Harrity (Ed) and Sandra VanFleet (Wayne).
