She was predeceased by: her parents, Hjalmer Helland and Julia Helland (Gilbertson); her son Calvin Vammen; and her siblings, Howard, Arthur, Myrtle, Sylvia and Irene.
She is survived by: her children, Connie DePietropaolo (Vammen) and Charlton Vammen (Chuck); her grandchildren, Jennifer, Richard, Nicole, Tiffany and Jason; and her brother Gordon Helland of Kalispell, MT.. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
