It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura Sonmez of Wesley Chapel, Florida, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on October 21, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Laura Rose Carrita and Vincent Carrita. She is survived by: her husband Sahin Sonmez; her children, John Zeynal Sonmez, Michelle Renee Sonmez and Tamara Leyla Sonmez; her granddaughter Sophia Grace Sonmez; and her sisters, Johanna Carrita, Irene Musgrave and Barbara Carrol.
She endured and fought a long battle with Parkinson's disease and ultimately God used that battle to call her home to heaven.
