He is survived by: his children, Joan Carter Shaw (Dusty) of Wellborn, FL and Drew Carter (Diane) of Wellborn, FL; his siblings, Sheila Garrison of Blairsville, GA, Linda Taylor of Live Oak, FL, Virgil Carter (Janette) of Live Oak, FL, Henry Carter of Live Oak, FL and Gene Carter of Live Oak, FL; and his grandchildren, Mindy Ahrens (Jeff), Paul Shaw (Ashley), Seth Shaw (Angel), Kylie Dasher (Justin) and Jeremiah Carter (Becky). He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
