He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Mizell and Gladys Blair Mizell; and his siblings, Warren C. Mizell, Bernard Mizell, Betty Butts and Joyce Simmons.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth McLeran Mizell of Wellborn; and his siblings-in-law, Eddie Joe McLeran of Wellborn and Mary Gem Wester (Murle) of Ponte Vedra. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
