Essix; his sisters, Hazel Ford, Jr. (Timothy) and Betty Randall (Theoplis); his stepchildren, Shereasa Sellers, Beatrice Thomas, Beatrice Atis, Damonte Sellers, Terribbe Essix and Antwaun Essix; and his close friend Willie James McCleandon. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, other relatives.
