He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert S. Pond and Martha Burson Pond; his daughter Suzanne Pond; and his brother Charles Pond (late Char). He is survived by: his wife Saundra L. Pond of Spring Hill; his sons, Eric Pond of Goslar, Germany, Peter Pond (Lynda) of Eugene and Jason Pond (Melinda) of Spring Hill; his grandchildren, Daniel, Jennifer, Alexander, Kristine, Spencer, Jamin, Kamie and Rylan Pond; and his great grandchildren, Joshua, Marvin, Finn and Roman Pond. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
