He was predeceased by: his son Randy Mercer. He is survived by: his wife Phylis; and his children, Paul Mercer of Tampa, Philip Mercer of Philippi, Billy Mercer of Umatilla, Florida, Joni Hanna of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Patricia Croft of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
