He was predeceased by: his parents, George Harris and Opal Harris (Miller). He is survived by: his brothers, Kenny and Benny Joe; his wife Lucie; his children, Karen (Victor Arredondo), Deborah and Michael; his grandchildren, Paul, Andrew, Heather, Margaux and Emme; and his great grandchildren, Claire, Theodore and Everhett.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Sturgill Hospice House (HPH Hospice) at 12242 Cortez Blvd., Brooksville, FL who took the greatest care of him.
