She was predeceased by: her husband Grover C. Wharton, Sr. of Marion, VA; her son Grover C. Wharton, Jr.; her parents, Robert L. Lowery and Vivian Catron Lowery of Saltville, VA; and her brothers, Robert and Hervey Lowery.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Wharton of Spring Hill, FL and Victoria (Ernest Pollock) of Hudson, FL; her sisters, Bettie Tanner of Spring Hill, FL and Judy Hatter of Mason, OH; and her stepbrother Gary Chapman. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
