He is survived by: his children, Stanley Owens, Sheila Tracy (Dan) and Sabra Shores (Phillip); his siblings, Julian Owens, Doris Owens (Juanell), Iris Land and Shirley Ramer (Joel); his grandchildren, Amber Owens, Crystal Carter (Ambers), Jacob Swindle, John Swindle, Bethany Shores and Byron Shores; and his great grandchild Klayton Carter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
