He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Maddox and Theadosha Manley Maddox; his brothers, Lawrence and Carlton Maddox; his grandmother Nancy Lamb Manley; his uncle Schooler Manley; and his son Clayton Luther Maddox (Clay).
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Maddox; his sons, John Michael of Winter Haven and Andrew Stephen Maddox (Mary Sue) of Wauchula; his grandchildren, Alexan Maddox of Orlando and Aaron Maddox (Monica); and his great grandchildren, Audrey, Laynie and Karsyn of Haines City.
