He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel C. Carter and Lillie Mae Carter; his daughter Christina Carter; and his brother Ben Carter. He is survived by: his sons, Kevin Carter of Wauchula and Michael Carter of Oklahoma City; and his sisters, Rachel Medley (Ken) of Jacksonville Beach, FL and Mildred Smith of Wauchula. He is also survived by three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
