It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Nelson Lackey Sr. of Wauchula, Florida, born in Meridian, Mississippi, who passed away on August 21, 2020, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lackey and Magdalene "Madge" Lackey. He is survived by: his wife Melinda Lackey of Bowling Green; his children, George Nelson Lackey Jr. (Allison Judah) of Bowling Green, Melina (Jay) of Sebring and Whitney Lackey (Anthony) of Newberg, Oregon; his sister Karin Lackey (Shelli) of Washington; his grandchildren, Elijah Leon Hart, EraNell Grace Molina and Harmony Faith Molina; his nieces, Tiana Wise, Katrinna Quackenbush and Emily Lackey; and his nephew Riley Lackey.
For reasons of social distancing the visitation will be from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm on Friday, August 28, 2020 in the Robarts Garden Chapel. The funeral service will be private and the family requests masks be worn.
