She was predeceased by: her parents, Leavey A. Shirley and Ada Shirley; her husband Elvin Luther Spivey; her siblings, Homer "Rastus" Shirley, Loyd Shirley, Bill Shirley, Louise Cooper, Lillie Mae Alford, Bessie Cooke and Annie Laura McKinney; and her daughter-in-law Mary E. Nicholson.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Nicholson (late Mary E. Nicholson) of Wauchula and Connie Banfield (Jeff) of Auburndale; her brother Charlie Mack Shirley (Kathryn) of Fort Meade; her grandchildren, Scott Nicholson (Tiffany), Lisa Newman (Wayne), Clay Nicholson, Megan Banfield (Aaron), Hannah Clark (Travis) and Breanna Smith (Ben); and her great grandchildren, Justin, Jessica, Jaidyn, Colton, Jaycie, Tara, Clara, Charlotte and Jacob. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lake Dale Baptist Church Building Fund.
