He was predeceased by: his mother Bernice Greene Spencer; and his brother Mark Spencer. He is survived by: his father Herman Spencer (Barbara) of Wauchula; his daughter Story Spencer of Bowling Green; and his siblings, Charles Paussi of Wauchula, Robert Spencer (Sara) of Wauchula and Jennifer Sosa (Albert) of Wauchula.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations towards a trust fund for Story Spencer.
