He was predeceased by: his parents, William Webster Caldwell and Hester Petersen Caldwell; his former wife Nancy Hankin Caldwell; his son William Webster Caldwell III; and his brother George L. Caldwell.
He is survived by: his friends, Peter Prezzano and Sam Beach; his wife Shelly Scott Caldwell; his children, Catherine, Christopher (Nora) and Daniel (Sue); his daughter-in-law Priscilla; his grandchildren, Olivia, Caroline, Mason, Carter, Delaney, Ella, Petra and Kelsey; and his sister Hester Caldwell Brinster. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews, and dear friends.
