He was predeceased by: his parents, William Catto McFarland and Marguerite Kennedy McFarland. He is survived by: his wife Grier McFarland; his children, Laura McFarland-Taylor (Michael) of Lowell and William J McFarland (JoAnne); his grandchildren, Chandler J McFarland of Gainesville, Joseph A McFarland and Anna J. McFarland of Gainesville; his sister Jan Bowen of Sparks; and his niece Diana Keary of Savannah.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (500 Iris Ln, Vero Beach, FL 32963). A burial will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at the MeadowWood Memorial Park.
For those who wish, donations to the Sorin Society at University of Notre Dame for students who need financial assistance to pursue a Notre Dame education or to St Jude Children's Hospital would be appropriated.
