He was predeceased by: his parents, William Donald and Mildred Wemple (Jones); his former wife Dolores F. Wemple (Segur); his son Andrew P. Wemple; and his brother Richard E. Wemple.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth M. Wemple (Drotar); his children, Donald J. Wemple and R. Susan Wemple Case; his stepchildren, Lauren Perkins, Mark Leonardo and Sharon Frazho; and his sister Donna J. Perry. He is also survived by 4 grand-children and 7 great-grand-children.
