He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Francis Riney and Mary Alice Wimmenauer Riney; his brothers, Gerald Francis Riney and Donald Edward Riney; his wife Lisa Ann Leffler Riney; his sister Annette Kay Riney Stroud (Tony Stroud); his stepdaughters, Leah Kristen Riney and Audra Deanne Riney; his stepgrandson Justin Robert Riney; and his granddaughters, Jordynn Alexandra Zanca and Brooke Avery Bobbitt.
In 2005, he began playing bass again with some fabulous guys in a band they called St. John's Wood, an amazing band that he played with until 2020 when Covid hit and it just became too difficult on him to play.
