He is survived by: his wife Janice Clare (Lawrence); his son John Michael Gruber (Patricia) of Champaign; his stepson Daniel Keith Ek of Boston, Mass.; his grandchildren, John Matthew Gruber (Lindsay) of Chagrin Falls and Nicole Gruber of Portland; and his great grandchild Eleanor Grace Gruber.
