With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Hull Dobbs of Vero Beach, Florida, born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on July 8, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Kirby Dobbs and Celia Ellard Dobbs; his former wife Yvonne Spragins Tatum; his brother James Kirby Dobbs, Jr. (Catherine); his nephew John Collier Dobbs (Sara); and his stepson John Ellison Amos, III (Alex).
He is survived by: his nephew Dobbs Ford; his wife Susan; his children, Caroline Kirby Floyd (Glenn), John Hull Dobbs, Jr. (Katherine), Juliette Dobbs Allen (Dale) and Edward Johnstone Dobbs (Cindy); his stepdaughter Sully Amos Hurley (Jim); his niece Catherine Dobbs Eleazer (Ed); his nephew James Kirby Dobbs, III (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Bowen, Annabel, Andrew, Ella, Trip, Haley, Jack, Lulu, Lila, John, Stewart, Celia, Lela, Hope and Chance.
