It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Geraldine H. Sakany of Vero Beach, Florida, who passed away on April 12, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Vesperi and Katherine Vesperi; her son Charles Joseph Sakany III (Elizabeth) of Vero Beach, FL; and her sister Lois Flaherty. She is survived by: her husband Charles J. Sakany, Jr.; her daughters, Deborah Baker of Fort Lee, NJ, Mary Catherine Sakany of Los Angeles, CA, Lois Sakany of Brooklyn, NY and Ellen Sakany of Arvada, CO; her sister Marylou Iacovelli; and her grandchildren, Andrew Baker (Lauren DiLeonardo), Bill Sakany, Sarah Sakany and Isaiah Sakany. She is also survived by one niece, and eight nephews, and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to VNA & Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960 in memory of Jeri.
