He was predeceased by: his parents, Unas Marples and Sophie Mae Allen Marples; and his brother Elton Marples. He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Thomas Marples of Vero Beach, Florida; his children, Aaron Marples of Campbellsville and Joanne Marples Jansen (Mickey Corcoran) of Louisville; his brothers, Dale Marples (Barbara) of Liberty and Jeff Marples (Karen) of Liberty; and his mother-in-law Alberta "Granny Bird" Thomas of Russell Springs. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
