We are sad to announce that on January 17, 2025, at the age of 86, Eleanor J. Nielsen of Vero Beach, Florida, born in New York, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Eleanor has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Hamel and Erna Hamel (Schmidt). She is survived by: her husband Ronald Nielsen; her children, Susan Valerie Goldstein (Nielsen) and Douglas John Nielsen (Donna); and her grandsons, Gregory Goldstein and David Goldstein. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in memory of Eleanor Nielsen to the Community Hospice of Rensselaer or your local animal shelter.
