As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Cherie Frances may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, J. Edward Hollwedel and Fannie S. Hollwedel; her spouse Thomas J. P. McGowan, MD; and her children, Christine Inglis, Megan Kuntz, Catherine Crimmins, Maureen Lavelle and Thomas Sean McGowan. She was also cherished by 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church (53 Prospect Rd, Centerport, NY 11721). A burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Patrick's Cemetery (45 Huntington Rd, Huntington, NY 11743).
