She was predeceased by: her parents, Walton Dane and Bertha Amelia Penland (Hansen); her husband G. Warren Rice; her siblings, Norris Dane Penland, Carl Warren Penland and Bertha Annabelle Penland Martin; and her daughter-in-law Leslie Suzanne Rice (Byrd).
She is survived by: her children, David Rice (Jeri) of Round Rock, Dale Rice of Plant City, Florida, Bethany Rice of Vero Beach and Beverly Turner (Tim) of Vero Beach; her grandchildren, Nick Turner (Kayleine), Veronica Turner, Jessica Roger (Joey), Dane Rice and Drew Rice; and her great grandchildren, Lucas, Nathan Turner, Jeriah Thomas, Joziah and Jexi Roger.
