He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Mondshour and Emma Mondshour (Decker); his children, Carl Joseph Mondshour Jr. and Teresa Scott; and his siblings, Marlene Ward, James Mondshour, Constance Biddinger and Betty Lou Ullman.

He is survived by: his wife Ida Mae Mondshour; his children, Debbie Farnung and Rodger Mondshour; his grandchildren, Timothy Jahnigen, Jr., Jami Mondshour, Frank Farnung, Jennifer Eisenmann and Carl Joseph Mondshour III; his great grandchildren, Noah Jahnigen, Adam Jahnigen, Luke Jahnigen, Madison Mondshour and Richard Eisenmann; and his sister Brenda Clemens.
