He is survived by: his children, Chad Gainey (Mandy) of Vernon, FL, Clint Gainey (Hannah) of Vernon, FL, Star Gainey of Vernon, FL and Crystal Gainey of Vernon, FL; his brother Jimmy Gainey of Vernon, FL; his grandchildren, Jessikka Klotz (Justin), Zoie Gainey (Brian), Ian Gainey, James Champion Jr., Marci Champion, Aiden Champion, Jasper Champion, Eli Moore, Bryce Butler, Jaxin Butler, Lily Gainey, Emma Gainey and Tanner Gainey; and his great grandchild Teague Carter.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Eastside Baptist Church (3385 Roche Ave, Vernon, FL 32462). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
