She was predeceased by: her father Vernon; her sisters, Dorothy Douglas and Frankie Boyett; and her great-niece Candi Douglas. She is survived by: her uncle Sam; her children, Lori Carter (Stephen) and Jason Rhoton; her grandchildren, Fallon Braxton, Caleb Carter (Kyli), Kendall Mitchell, Chelsea Rhoton, Chance Rhoton and Chloe Rhoton; and her brothers, James "Jimmy" Boyett, Billy Boyett, Rodney Boyett (Gina) and Dennis Boyett (Kim).

The family is accepting flowers, but would love for donations to be made in her honor to the Vernon Recreation Department, or a veteran's charity of your choice such as The Fisher House Foundation or Wounded Warriors.
