He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Emerson and Eleanore Emerson; and his brother William Emerson. He is survived by: his wife Shirleen; his children, Richard Knowles (Susan) of Willis Michigan, Dawn Similo (David), Kevin Emerson (Elaine) of Adrian Michigan and Kent Emerson (Julie) of Belleville Michigan; his grandchildren, Bryan Similo (Ashley), Justin (Danielle) of Waddell Arizona, Linsay Wiggins (Matt), Kristin Musa (Jeff) of Pinckney Michigan, Alec and Abby Emerson of Belleville Michigan; his great grandchildren, Ryan, Kelsey, Cooper, Cashton, Brayden, Brynley, Cambrie and Mila; his siblings, Kenneth Emerson (Kaye) and Faye Emerson David; and his sisters-in-law, Holly Cusatis and Teena Sanger (Ron).
