She is survived by: her husband James M. Whalen; her son Christopher Whalen (Courtney Patti) of Virginia; her sisters, Susan (Dennis Tardif), Kerry Armstrong of Florida, Jaye (Frank Favata) and Kelly (Darryl Siegwalt); her sister-in-law Deborah O'Connor of Maine; her grandchildren, Nicholas Bonasaro of Boston Mass, Isabella Ross of Waltham Mass, Alexandra Whalen of Virginia and Connor Whalen of Virginia; and her friend Kathie Matzemaekers Eldred.
