He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Saurer and Marjorie Saurer (Matson). He is survived by: his pet Muffin; his wife Beth Saurer (Kays); his children, Cylinda (Tim) of Englewood, FL, Craig Saurer (Sue) of Rotonda, FL and Christie; his grandchildren, Taylor Haskins (Jason Sharer) of Greenville, MI, Spencer Haskins (Mellissa) of Keaau, HI, Michael Saurer (Lindsay) of Lincolnshire, IL, Leslie Smith (Drew) of Port Charlotte, FL and Kaley; his great grandchildren, Korah, Ellianna Haskins, Grayson Saurer, Bennett, Adelaide, Roman Study and Hazel of Nicola; and his brothers, Richard Saurer (Judy) and Robert Saurer (Paula) of Henderson, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
