He is survived by: his spouse Susan; his children, Tracy Ruddy (Jerry), Jeffrey III (Sandra) and John Chace Downing III; his grandchildren, Taylor Ruddy, Victoria Ruddy, Jacob, Hannah and Benjamin Downing; and his siblings, Sandra Patterson and Michael Downing.
