He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Stephens and Madeline Stephens; his siblings, Dorthy Sapp, Virginia Jones and Robert Stephens; and his nephew Mark Stephens.

He is survived by: his wife Janice; his children, Michael Stephens, Marcia, Mark Krivonak and Mindy Sichling; and his grandchildren, Christopher (Sherrie Stephens), Scott Sichling, Sara Rebhan (Chris Rebhan) and Nikki (Donald Prunty).
